New Beginner Bridge Class
We have concluded our summer 6-lesson series of beginner bridge classes at the Olney Library (Maryland). There are no current plans to hold a subsequent class in the near future. If we decide to hold another class, I will report status on this web page.
Bridge Practice Sessions
We are holding weekly sessions at the Olney library to practice lessons learned at the recent beginner bridge classes. The sessions are scheduled on Saturdays, starting at 2:30 and ending at 4:30. Anyone with basic bridge knowledge is invited. We'll fill you in on any topics you may have missed. No partner is required. We will pair up players during the session.

Other Maryland Classes
- Montgomery College is regularly holding a 6-week beginner bridge class ("Bridge for Beginners") in Rockville. The last class was held in the summer of 2024. I expect that a fall 2024 class will also be held. There is a fee of $139 for Montgomery County residents. Please check for future classes: Montgomery County Workforce Development and Continuing Education for details on the classes.
- Leslie Shafer was a long-time bridge teacher with potential classes at various levels in Bethesda, MD. She has recently passed on. However, her daughter, Rebecca, has taken over as teacher. Check Rebecca's website for updates on online and in-person classes.
- The Rockville Duplicate Bridge Club (Mark Lavine) provided lessons prior to the pandemic. Check the Rockville Duplicate website for updates on in-person classes.
