Local Bridge Clubs

We have formed the
Olney Maryland Bridge Club.
The club will initially focus on gathering people to play social bridge.
If interested, please contact me using the email link on my Contact page (see the menu).

Facebook page for your comments, questions, and suggestions.

The
Rockville Duplicate Bridge Club, run by Mark Lavine, is one of the largest local clubs.
Before the pandemic they regularly had daily tournaments with up to 40 tables in multiple skill divisions.
They currently have live games up to 5 days per week and online games up to 6 days per week,
with smaller turnout for each.
However, please check the website as the year progresses and the pandemic diminishes -
they may increase participation.

Jim Cartlidge, who operates out of Gaithersburg, coordinates
Tuesday and Friday morning (10:30)
online duplicate games.

Mark Valavanis, a local bridge player and teacher, runs the
Columbia MD Duplicate Bridge Club.
They hold regular in-person duplicate games on Tuesdays at 5:45.

Ernie Schuler runs a
Holiday Park Senior Center (map) duplicate bridge game.
They hold regular in-person duplicate games on Wednesdays starting at 12:00.
Entry is free in this relaxed, non-ACBL duplicate game.
If you are interested in exploring duplicate (tournament) bridge in a laid-back environment,
this may be the game for you.

District of Columbia Duplicate Bridge Club.
They hold regular in-person duplicate games on Mondays and Thursdays.

ACBL District 6 (Maryland, Virginia, DC) holds a monthly
Third Wednesday Night
online pairs game for ACBL members.
On BBO the game is shown under the tournament id "VACB139840" and is on the third Wednesday of every monthly
in three flights (0 - 199 masterpoints, 0 - 999 masterpoints, and an open game).
